News from Monday December 31
We slept in again today. Skiing tires us out...but we were recharged overnight. We headed to the slopes at 11 am and were skiing before lunchtime. It was clear and a bit warmer during the day today. The slopes were a bit more icy today and not as easy to ski on. We still had lots of folks who although they are just learning...did VERY well skiing. Everyone skiied until 7 pm and then 1/2 of us left for the hotel. We showered and rested while watching the Clemson vs. Auburn football game. Sadly, the bad guys won. The 2nd group came back at the end of the night...10 pm.
We all celebrated the end of 2007 and a NEW YEAR together with chocolate, chips, and Sparkling GRAPE juice. Don't worry...we could've used it for Bapitst communion!
We hope your New Years Celebration was as fun as ours...and look forward to seeing you all at home tomorrow.

News from Sunday December 30
Today was a good day. We slept in a little and ate our 'free' breakfast at the Hampton Inn.; We had our second session, led by Lauren Colwell and; then went as a group across the parking lot to Wendy's and Subway for lunch.; We were on the slopes by 1:30 pm and got lots of skiing in.; There were a few showers that passed through from 5:30 until 7:00, but after that the skies were clear and so were the slopes.; We were the LAST group off the mountain at 10:00 pm.; We came back to the hotel for showers and bed.
Another wintery day awaits us tomorrow!; Can't wait to tell; you all about it.; Hope you enjoy the pics!

News from Friday & Saturday
We traveled safely...but had a flat along the way.; We actually left Rome with the flat tire on the inside of the rear duely wheel...and realized it when a good Samaritan pointed it out to us on I-40 as we were moving right along.; We finally arrived on Friday night around 10 pm, checked into our hotel, went to rent our skis and then came back and went to bed.;

We got up early on Saturday, ate breakfast and went straight to ski.; We were on the slopes by 9:30 and had tons of fun.; There aren't tons of pictures from today...but we promise more tomorrow!; No broken bones and just a couple of scrapes.; Everyone seems to be enjoying themselves and we are ALL learning!

We left about 5:00 pm and came back for showers and a little rest before dinner.; We had our group session at 9:00 pm and Lauren Colwell did a wonderful job helping us begin to think about our theme...Loving on the Edges.; We closed the night in bed by 11:30 and are ready for another fun day tomorrow.; We will talk to you soon!
